I have worked with Philip at Explore Learning for 2 years. They help Chinese students with Common Entrance exams and have given me consistent work in helping to develop their excellent programme working with elite New Zealand and British students.
I am very grateful to Gabbitas for giving me some of my first international clients, including students in Vancouver -even if it did mean 4 am lesson starts! Gabbitas are a reputable agency and the oldest. I recommend them highly.
Scientia gave me my first online lessons, which included a regular practical component. This was an awakening for me since it demonstrated how engaging online learning can be. Although they are a global organisation, my lessons were mainly in schools in Ningbo, Xingdoa, and Shanghai
My father, Peter Walwyn, was a lecturer in the philosophy of education and the admissions tutor for the University of East Anglia PGCE as well as running the overseas B.Ed, (Hong Kong). My stepmother, Rosamund Walwyn, was head teacher of Town Close Prep School in Norwich. Having attended Cambridge University, she has been an Independent Schools Inspector and governor of Gresham’s school. Olivia, my sister, obtained a First class degree from Durham university and is a published poet and qualified teacher. Stephen, my brother, attended Repton and has worked as a mathematics and philosophy teacher also. They are an amazing support in many ways.
